Welcome to the #SundayRoundup #46!!
Happy Sunday!
On the homefront:
Had a very busy week. Lord, where do I start. Ok getting ready for Thanksgiving, cooking, cleaning and having family over (always great). Then Friday was my oldest daughters birthday! Yay, cake and dinner out! Saturday is my youngest brothers girlfriends birthday and Sunday my oldest brother is coming over to play D&D and for missing Thanksgiving get together. Not to mention this is the first Thanksgiving without my sister. Bittersweet.
Plus, I Still had school!!! (Mon/Wed)
Things I know:
Family really is everything and leftover turkey is god's gift to us.
School Front:
Week 13! Almost over! 2 weeks left. Did I mention there are 15 weeks each semester? I am still at all 90s or above! YAY!! Now the final's are worth a lot - at 30% of our grade each semester so as long as I can ace those, I should be fine!

I am hoping Toxic is as good as I think it will be. It's next to my bed with Sawkill Girls to read next!
DeleteThe holidays can be crazy enough on their own, and then you had birthdays to celebrate to boot. At least it was time filled with happy occasions.
ReplyDeleteThey can be but it's always nice to be with the kids and my brothers. Have a great week Sam!
DeleteOh my you had a very busy week!!! I bet you are still eating cold turkey LOL Congrats on school and hang on tight for the last two weeks!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for featuring my post!!!!
Have a wonderful Sunday Mary ;-)
Yes, well today we made Turkey soup and that was great. I am holding on still for these last weeks. I will keep you updated!
DeleteYay for heading into the final weeks of the semester! Thanksgiving leftovers are the best.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love them! They are my favorite.
DeleteYour books are all new to me. Toxic looks fascinating.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week. Since I am a guest at Thanksgiving these days, I miss out on the leftovers. Sigh.
But...I went to a restaurant on Friday, ordered a turkey dinner with double stuffing sides...and brought most of it home for the next day.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I can't wait to read it. You should start asking for a doggy bag. Or one year host at your house. Just ideas.
DeleteYes, holidays are always such a crazy time, and in less than a month another craze --Christmas, how fast time flies
ReplyDeleteYes, I am sooo not ready for Christmas. I have to get ready and soon tho.

Thank Michelle. Yes, after my parents died it was the first few years I would just spend crying. Have a great week.

ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful week ahead!
Thank you. It was busy but worth it. =)
DeleteHappy birthday to your oldest! Thanksgiving is always a busy week, it seems like, but yours sounds downright hectic! I have a review copy of Empress of All Seasons that I need to read soon; I'm curious what you'll think of it :) And I though Not Even Bones was pretty good! It was definitely a unique world that Rebecca built!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I haven't read it yet but plan on it soon. It was a pre-order and I am waiting for the swag for it. I wasn't crazy about Not Even Bones. No real background on why the world is this way or on her. I was disappointed with it.
DeleteNice bunch of books, great stuff of balancing your life with this site etc. It's good to hear. Lots of people are busy this weekend I am sure of that
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to know what the stores look like. I stay away. Try to do most of my shopping online.
DeleteWow you do have a busy weekend! Yikes. But in a good way sounds like. and hey you get to play some D&d too, right? :)
ReplyDeleteI hope strange New World is good as I still haven't read it lol!
Mmm leftover turkey...
Yes, D&D is awesome and it has been a long time since we have gotten together to play so that was pretty cool. It is a bit better than the first book and I am happy about that.
DeleteIt sounds like you had a busy but great Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteIt was I hope yours was just as great!
DeleteI miss my sister too. Family really is everything:) Sounds like a busy week. I bet you're looking forward to the break:)

Thanks AJ. It was really nice considering it's the first without my sister. It was different and fun.
DeleteThat does sound busy! I hope you've had some time to relax. I didn't love Not Even Bones either. Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteNot yet, I am waiting till tomorrow to relax. Cleaning and had my oldest brother over tonight so more cleaning. =) Have a great week.
DeleteMy week really needed some reading in it but other things kept getting in the way which is frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThe books all have such great covers. I hope you enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHolidays are a mixed bag, so hectic. But it is often the only time for some family to connect. Also the cleaning feels great once it's done. Plus good food. Sounds like yours was busy but fun.
Good luck with the rest of the semester. Anne - Books of My Heart
The holidays always make for a busy week. You are doing so well in school. That's great. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWow, you really did have a busy week! Yay for being so close to the end of the school semester though. That has to feel good to be almost there and to still have your grades looking so great. Here's to a strong finish!
ReplyDeleteMy sister was in Philadelphia a couple of years ago for Thanksgiving dinner with a friend - said the whole experience was like nothing she'd ever done before - it has to be seen to be believed!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a busy week but it sounds like it was mostly fun busy! I always need a bit of a vacation after a holiday but I always enjoy it and it's nice to see everyone. Happy birthday to your daughter! Hope you're having a great week.
