I thought I would post about my top 5 favorite book covers of 2018. Some of these are for multiple reasons. I didn't want the post to be super long and post my top 100 covers! =) So, here are a few and the reasons I love them.
Tell me this isn't a amazing cover. You get a clear picture that it is about a rock star and well I am drawn to them. I might have been a groupie in another life. =)
It reminds me of all the times I rode on the subway in NYC. How could I not adore this cover? It reminds me, that we don't really know all the dark recesses of what is under the subway we ride on.
This just looks like a fun loving run in grass. Something that I think most of us have done. I adore it. It speaks of home and comfort to me.
This one evokes the creeps in me. Like I am not following anyone down anything with a rope to hang myself. NO WAY, count me OUT. That's why I love it. It gives me the creepy feels.
This reminds me of my youth. I am a 80's child at heart! So yes this speaks to the inner kid in me - in a big way. I used to have that denim jacket with all the patches and pins on it. Come on some of you know what I am talking about. You might have even been called a metal head? Yes, you know what I mean. =)
So there you have it. Some of my favorite covers for 2018. You know there are so many more I would like to include but I just wanted to show a few. I will post a few more again before the end of the year. All of these give me the feels but for different reasons.
What are some of your favorite book covers for this year?
This is such a wonderful post! I just came across the cover for You'd Be Mine today and I really love it as well. It just has such a nostalgic feel to it. :)
ReplyDeleteI've added Awakened on to my wishlist. Not sure about Follow You Down as it gets mixed reviews on Goodreads but I'll decide on that later! Undead Girl Gang is already on my ereader.
ReplyDeleteI like the cover of The Hills Have Spies (Valdemar: Family Spies #1) by Mercedes Lackey
ReplyDeleteI like them too, quite lovely photography. Others have nice design and creative theme and colour
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post Mary. This year I've been all about Urban Fantasy.
ReplyDeleteMy last one: the UK cover of Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff. Amazing! And Bring Down the Stars by Emma Scott ;-)
ReplyDeleteOoo... I LOVE this post! Many thanks for sharing - and would you mind if I nicked the idea, Mary?
ReplyDeleteNot at all! =)
