BEST OF THE BEST...

Well, this is a harder category for me than I thought it would be. There are a few BEST OF THE BEST this year for me but for different reasons. I will have to spotlight a few of them in different posts. This post is for a NON-FICTION!! Gasp, I know - I have maybe read three in my life another GASP!

I have lots of best of the bests this year and well, every year - but I am going to spotlight a NON-FICTION book. I have a few reasons for this, it was introduced to me by my brother - he gushed over it many times. He said it was just too real and heartbreaking not to read. So, I got the audiobook from the library and listened and it was horrific and heartbreaking and wonderfully written.

I couldn't stop reading.

I just had to know. I even went a bit further and looked up the author and found out more about this story that took 10 years to make. It had to be told and the author did a wonderful job of telling it.

My Best of the Best is:

This story is captivating, marvelous, heartbreaking, touching, and just so many adjectives I can't even think of enough of them to express all that this book was.

Read it, enjoy it, soak it up.

It is wonderfully written, told and expressed.

Check out my review - HERE!

That's my pick for Best of the Best of 2018!

  3. I've still got some reading to do for this month so I have to wait and pick the best of the best at the end of the month! I'm hoping to read a wider range of books next year, fitting in more of each genre including non fiction. I have a load about Donald Trump and campaigns of him and Hillary. lots of UK political books,UK history, true mountain expedition stories, true disasters...really need to get through a few of them next year!
