Welcome to the #SundayRoundup #34!!
Happy Sunday!
On the homefront:
The first week of school is over for the girls. They don't like getting up early but they are happy to be back with all their friends. My oldest is a senior now and she is sad that this is her last year. She is trying to make the most of it and I am happy about that. She takes her SAT's again in October and is gearing up for that as well. She didn't get as high as she wanted on the Math portion and so she has to do it all over again. The good news is she gets to pick her highest scores to send to the colleges she wants to apply to. My youngest is just happy to be back with her friends.
Things I know:
Life gives you curve balls all the time, learn to go with it.
School Front:
School is back in Session this week! I start back the 5th. This is the second of seven semesters for me! I am still trying for all A's again! I would like to make that Dean list again!
Blog:
Lots to do and not much time to do it. I am trying to have a post done by myself every Monday that is book related like - My 5 Favorite Covers and 5 Things Authors Should Do (A bloggers perspective - me) etc. Check out my new post tomorrow afternoon! =)

Books I Won:
~Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner~
Good luck with the school stuff! Ah the 80's! That is my kind of music to chill out to!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, senior year and SATs! Good luck with your new semester, too! Thank you for the shout-out!
ReplyDeleteOoh good luck to your eldest! Since I'm a college freshman, I just finished senior year of HS which was INTENSE. And I don't normally do pre-order deals, but I pre-ordered Wildcard and am stoked. The nail polish that comes with Mirage is so cute!!! Happy reading! ♥
ReplyDelete- Aimee @ Aimee, Always
I hope your kids have a great school year! I've heard good things about the new Mary Sangiovanni book. I hope you are enjoying it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that your kids like their school that much. I couldn't wait to finish HS (ironically, I then went to work in one for 12 years <-- add to my list of poor decisions). Senior year is crazy! Good luck to you and your daughter. Nice book wins! The books just seem so much better when you win them. Wow! There's a blast from the past, and now I will commence with singing Abracadabra all day long. =) Thanks for discussion post love. XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh, enjoy your haul...and I love your "things I know" quote. Thanks for visiting my blog. My figurines are all over my place, and the Bella and Aurora, along with a few others, are on a carousel that sits on my Baker's Rack.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
Yes... my grandchildren return to school this coming week - I'm glad your two are looking forward to returning. In the meantime, have a better week, Mary. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMy kids start next week. We are all ready for school to start! Awesome on the book wins. Enjoy them and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you on life and curve balls Mary! And it seems that math is an ordeal for our kids ;-) Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books. They look great. Good luck with school. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI did horrible on my SAT/ACT. I’m a really bad test taker. Hopefully your daughter does better than I did. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I hope your kids have a great school year. Ialso hope you are going to enjoy books you won
ReplyDeleteThe Bone Witch looks like it's going to be a good one! Best of luck to your daughter on the SATs! I have a senior too!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe school is here already, right?
ReplyDeleteSeafire looks good!
Abracadabra... awesome. :)
Oooh, lots of nice pre-orders! I'm trying to hard not to spend money on anything that isn't absolutely necessary at the moment because of the move but I saw 6 books from my wishlist on 99p sales yesterday and bought them all... I should feel sorry but 6 books for £6! That's less than the price of a paperback so totally worth it, right? 🙂
