#Sunday #Roundup of #Books #Week #57!!

Welcome to the Sunday Roundup #57!!

Happy Sunday!

On the homefront:
Things are going -Ok. This week my daughter called me into her session with her therapist. That went well, is all I am going to say(sarcastically and with a wince). Ugg seems we may have to call the police next time my daughter gets out of hand. I don't think I can do that. I do not want to do this as it will put her into the foster care system and could make her worse. I am faced with such problems with her. We are just not sure of what is going on with her. She isn't even sure what is going on with her. It's all so confusing.
This does not excuse the violence by her.

I also, went to my appointments got the necessary procedures done and now have my forms for my mammogram and I am awaiting my results for my pap test. I also had my hair done - thank god - this always makes me feelllllll so much better. So, things are on track for me this week and I am happy about that.

Things I know:
THROAT PUNCH!

School Front:
I received a letter asking me to be part of the school honor society. I accepted! =)

This coming week there is a storm brewing on the day I need to drive for 3 hours to be tutored for 2. Yes, makes no sense but I am not doing that great in chemistry and could REALLY use the help and must do it. I MUST.

Blog:
Nothing exciting going on and I am trying to work on some posts when I get the time to do it. I have a mini-review post coming and two reviews coming. Just need to finish them up.

Around the Blogosphere:

    1. Thank you! I am hanging on. I think it has a lot to do with her age.

  2. I'm sorry things are so hard with your daughter! I really hope things will smooth over and get better - especially since she's in therapy.
Congrats on the honor society - that's exciting, right? And hopefully, the storm won't arrive as forecasted, so you'll be good to drive.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  3. I'm sorry to hear that things have been so bad with your daughter. I'm wondering if she maybe has some form of autism or something like that. It must be such a hard time for your whole family and I hope that a solution can be found.

    1. I am thinking more of bi-polor, manic depressive maybe. I don't know I am doing research into what it could be. It is definitely a mental health issue.

  5. I'm so very sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time with your daughter - and as one who also has a rocky relationship with my daughter, I very much feel for you. It's a continual heartbreak...

I am intrigued by Blackwell - I've heard a lot of good things about this one, are you enjoying it? Have a great reading week, Mary:))

  6. Oh Mary I am so sorry to hear this about your daughter :-( I have a colleague who went through what you seem going through. Her daughter became violent and truly she thought about calling the police. She did not know what was going on with her neither her daughter did. At the end her daughter went to a special treatment center for months. She suffers from a mental illness but with all the therapy and appropriate medicine she is much much better now and could go back to normal school system. I am relating this here to give you hope. Because life can be very hard sometimes and we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet there is a light. Be strong, be brave and if you want to discuss by mail you know what to do. Thinking of you and good luck on your drive!

    1. I know you have an idea of what I am going through and maybe some others too. She might have to go into a home for this. We are looking into that possibility. Her therapist is the one who told me to call the police....Ughhh that doesn't give me much hope. She is going through something if she would just talk about it or open up. Something. I don't know. I will keep you posted.

  8. My son had to have a mobile unit called in to come evaluate him. He also spent 3 weeks in the hospital and was put on medicine that thankfully helps him. We are currently going through adjustments since he is getting older and some of the meds aren't working correctly but overall he is much better. Does you state, town, have a crisis center or is there a facility that can take her for a few day/weeks to get evaluated and accessed? Those 3 weeks he was in the hospital was the worst for me but I got my son back and that was what counted the most.

Stay strong, this is just a bump in the road, it will pass with time and help. It can get hard but I think with the right help you will all get through it.

Hope this week is better for you Mary! Happy Reading!

  15. I hope things work out with your daughter. Mine has such health issues. She has a midterm this week, so it's a bit stressful of course. Tomorrow I am taking her early to study and she's staying late for another thing. She stays every single time for the office hours for the class to ask questions. She also starts a group therapy this week for more socialization.

Congrats on Honor Society. I hope you get the Chemistry help.

    1. I am sorry she had such health issue. In a sense mine is a health issue also. She has something mentally wrong and we are trying to get a diagnoses and possibly medications to help. I just can't take the violence from her. It gets pretty bad here with it. I will keep trying to get her the help she needs.
