Welcome to the #SundayRoundup #27
On the homefront:
Had a lovely weekend last week with family here. I enjoy my Aunts so much. They are the last of my mom's generation. I look around and realize I don't have much of that family left. It's a darn shame as I feel I am not that old to be seeing this already. But, it is what it is. We all will get to that point. I try to tell my daughters this and prepare them for what is to come. It's hard for them to imagine life without Mom and Dad but that day will come. Anyway, we enjoy our family and the more I do it (have them here) the more I want them to stay forever.
Things I know:
Time flies, and it doesn't matter if you have fun or not. So always try to have fun. You will blink your eyes and 10 years will have gone by.
School Front:
I had no tests this week. WOOOHOOOO and all my grades are at A's. I handed in 2 of my 3 reports early!! YAY, me! One more to go.
Blog:
I did get a review up this week. Please check it out and comment! I will return the love - I promise! =)
Hope your July is going good and you are having fun in the sun! Leave your link so I can check out all your new books!
As you know - Each week I take part in
Stacking My Shelves by Tynga's Reviews &
The Sunday Post by Caffeinated Reviewer!
Well done on your grades, you must be pleased! All the hard work will be worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hope so. Like I said I am trying my best to stay at those A's!
DeleteI had to giggle when I saw the Hall and Oats video, because I have been singing their songs non-stop since I started If I Fix You. The dad in the book plays Hall and Oats all the time, and the songs would not stop playing in my head.
ReplyDeleteI have been listening to them a lot lately. I am really enjoying the tunes too.
DeleteAwesome job on your grades!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am trying, final grades are in August.
DeleteGood for you on turning in your reports early!!! Family is a precious thing isn't it. Glad to hear y'all had a great time with family. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteYou too Jenea thanks!
DeleteCongrats on your grades!
ReplyDeleteWhen you mentioned your aunts, I felt a little pang...I have no more aunts, parents, anybody in that previous generation. Which means...I'm one of the seniors. How is that possible?
Enjoy your books and your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I have two left. All of my husbands is gone (he is older than me), and we are now faced with the same thing. Time flies!
DeleteI agree. Time is flying.
ReplyDeleteWay to fast for my liking! Have a great week!
DeleteHall and Oates! Yes!! I am really lucky to still have both my parents and even 1 grandparent left. My mom has 4 siblings who are still with us, plus all their kids (my cousins) and now all my cousins' kids! My dad has 2 siblings who are still with us, plus their kids. So, I'm super lucky to still have family but I know it won't last forever. I'm 38, my mom is 70, and my grandpa is 92!
ReplyDeleteYes, god bless them. Glad you have a lot left and I am sure you feel lucky about it. Time goes quickly talk to them and see them as often as you can!
DeleteSounds like you had a good week! My family is getting smaller as well and it's sad. Hope you enjoy your new reads!

Week in Review
I know what you mean. Enjoy yours as well, have a great week too!
DeleteOoo, that Mute cover. The face reminds me of Jared Leto. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteIt does and I love it. I have to read that one soon!
DeleteAhhh, congratulations on straight A's! You must be very proud :) I've been loving your Instagram posts lately. That Bruja Born picture is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love yours as well. Always so pretty! I love the picket fence. Have a great week!
DeleteI'm always sad when I think of how time is flying. My family is a small one now and I still can't believe my father has been gone for three years already. You have to enjoy the time you have.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your grades! That's wonderful!
I hope you have a great week!
Thanks Yvonne! I am working hard on them. I do enjoy it more than I would like to admit it.
DeleteGlad you are enjoying your family visits! So true about appreciating time. And congrats on your grades!!
ReplyDeleteHall and Oates- that is so funny. They are here in concert TONIGHT lol.
I would love to see them live. Oldies but Goodies! =)
DeleteCongrats on your grades and the session ending! I think many of the families are dying out. My grandma was the youngest of 13 children and they are all gone. She had 4 kids. My Mom had 2. One of her sisters had 6 I think and they still are on the farm Similar on my dad's side, less kids each generation. Enjoy your summer reads! Anne - Books of My Heart
ReplyDeleteYes, less kids each generation which is such a shame. Have a great week!
Deleteyay foe getting all A's!! you are right times does fly. In my head my mom is still30 years old and i am 38!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I remember it like it was yesterday she was here and than again it has been forever since I have seen her. My mom passed away 13 years ago now.
DeleteIt is sad when the older generations start shrinking. I grew up surrounded by a large extended family but it seems so much smaller now. Congrats on the book wins! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSame here Carole, same here. Thanks and you have a great week too!
DeleteWait until you are my age; time goes crazy-fast. You are right. Enjoy it all now.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to do just that. I am trying to get them to come back for a week in August! More time with them. As much as I can!
DeleteI like the look of Leaning on Water. Lots of great looking books. Great job on your grades!!! My son had one class this summer and got a B which we were happy about. It was a math class and he hates math lol. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI hate it too! You also!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a good week! I'm definitely to the point where I try to enjoy my family (the ones I like, anyway) as much as I can because I know they won't last forever. Mute looks really good and Awakened is one I've had my eye on! Have a great week :D
ReplyDeleteI love it when they are around. It seems like the time flies! I am looking forward to Mute! =0)
DeleteI don’t have much family left, either. I’m not that old, so it seems weird that most of the family members I grew up with are dead. Good job with your grades. I hope you enjoy your new books. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thank you and yes family is dwindling and it's a sad thing. Have a great week also!
DeleteNice tasteful choices of books
ReplyDeleteThanks Calvin!
DeleteI’m really looking forward to reading Awakened - have you read that one yet? It looks like you got lots of good books this week to look forward to! Enjoy and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteNo, that is one I want to read really, really soon as I love the Impractical Jokers and Murr. Have a great week!
DeleteCongrats on your grades! And that's great that you got to have fun with your aunts. You're so right about time flying and the need to live life to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne and yes time just flies by. Enjoy every moment you can!
DeleteWhohohohoo all A's Mary? Congrats! And yes you are so right time is flying by! I hope you'll have another relaxing and lovely week!
