#SundayRoundup of #Books #Week 5

Hello Again & Happy Sunday - Week 5!
Welcome to the #SundayRoundup
This is my weekly meme of all those awesome books that I have gotten throughout the week. I post daily free kindle books - I only post Free eBooks from Amazon not KU. Anyway, I decided that this week I would only show (maybe even from now on)  the books that I get for myself, and not the freebies that I post. Maybe it will work out better...Not sure. Well, hopefully your week has gone very well and you have read some awesome books. Leave a comment so I can come see them!

Each week I take part in
Stacking My Shelves by Tynga's Reviews &
The Sunday Post by Caffeinated Reviewer

I also have to mention -- over at the Caffeinated Reviewer - they have some amazing posts about blogging and blogging tips! Like how to review books, getting photos for your blog, social media links and more. I found some AMAZING things there. Check it out!

-----  MY WONDERFUL WEEK IN BOOKS -----

Books I Purchased:

Now, you may be asking why with the scary covers...Well, I LOVE scary. The scarier the better - that does not mean the bloodier the better or even the most graphic ever. Just spooky, scary and those little things that go BUMP in the night!
Horror is my favorite genre and I have noticed the trend of authors not labeling their books HORROR (OH, the horror) because then people will think - blood, guts, gore - and will not purchase their books. So, the call them thrillers, mysteries, suspense, ghost stories etc. Give me a good old fashion horror writer like Dean Koontz or Stephen King or even Nate Kenyon...OH, I love these guys!! They have my heart in their hands.

Books I Won:

Seems I hit some kind of Kindle jackpot at goodreads this week. Every week. I say, I am going to stop entering their giveaways, then they send me a email and I enter again. It's a vicious cycle that I can't seem to break.

Reviews coming this week:

That's it for me this week. I am sorry, I started a new job this week and didn't have much time to read. I wanted to read The Rock King but just didn't have the time. Oh, well maybe this week!

What I am currently reading:

(ARC's for review)

Hopefully, I will have these done this week. After this, I have two review books to read! For some tours I signed up for in March - waiting on the books.

Well that's it for me this week. How about you?

Hope you had/have a great week!

Happy Reading!

  1. I have Mrs Roux series, I only read the first but have been wanting to back and read the rest. I love a good scary book. Those are my favorite especially the teen horror books. Hard to find but I am always looking.

I hope you have a great week, Mary! Happy Reading!

    1. That is the series I am going to read for my TBR pile challenge. Well, I am going to start with them. Hopefully I get a lot of books read but who knows. I will be happy if I get to them first!
Have a good week Michelle. See you next week!

  2. I have to admit I don't like horror (or thrillers) though I read lots of mysteries. I want the books to be labelled correctly so I don't buy a book I don't want to read. I've never liked horror, but I have read books with blood and gore in the past though I don't really want that anymore. Maybe too much blood and gore in real life--I don't know. It just sticks with me too long. Anyway, I'm glad there are lots of different types of books written so we can all find what we want to read!

Hope you have a great week reading really good books.

    1. Thank you! I love horror and don't want to read all the gore either. I don't mind a bit of it for description but I don't want the whole book to be about it. Have a good week reading!

  5. I'm partial to a horror novel now and again too, although I usually end up scaring myself and too freaked out to go to sleep! Your current reads look interesting, I like the covers. Well done on winning those books and I hope you enjoy them.

  10. I hope you had a good first week at your new job. Stephen King has the best movies and his mind is beautiful twisted but I do not think I could read his books. I would have to have lights on and someone in the house. LoL.

    1. LOL, I like those kind of books tho. That's why I can read them. I did have a good week at the new job. It's part time so that is good right now for me. Thanks for asking!

    2. Happy to hear your first week of work was good. I have been working part about 27-29 hours for about 5 years now. Oh my that is all about my old toosh can handle. I am exhausted from that lol. I could not imagine working full time like I use to up to 45 hrs. I think I am just use to my hours.

    3. I used to do a bunch of doubles 16 hour shifts. I can't do that anymore either. I am getting to old for it. I am doing part time also, and right now that is good enough. =)

  11. I don't read much horror. I've read a few, but definitely not a genre I reach for. Thrillers? Sure!

I hope your new job is going well!
