MY REVIEW
My Opinion:I totally enjoyed this time traveling trip. One of my favorite shows is set in Scotland (HINT) and it gives you the same vibe but with a different twist. You can't help falling in love with Torr in every page that you read. He's hot, loyal and fierce, just what you want in a sexy scottish man! =)
There is a ton of talk about his muscles - so that was a bit overused. I got it, that he was muscular, didn't need it repeated a hundred times. I also thought that the author could have used some more backstory with TMI. You get some but it just wasn't enough for me. I can see some spin offs of the whole TMI group which I hope there is. Still I liked Diana and Torr.
Diana is sent on a mission to make sure Torr dies in battle in two weeks. What she got was someone that makes her heart stop and she falls in love with him. Totally enjoyed these two. I like both of their characters and personalities and I totally would have done what Diana did! You will have to read and find out how this magical romance begins and ends and all the while you will enjoy the ride. I personally loved the heat between these two. I didn't like over usage of words, and thought it would have been a bit better had the author looked up some of the scottish dialect of that time. There were some words in here, that well, were just not used in that time. BUT, I did enjoy this tale! I would recommend the book for a fun, fast, hot read!
I give this book a 4 of 5 stars!

ReplyDeleteinteresting sounding
ReplyDeleteUh...over-usage of words and phrases and repetitive writing is one of my pet peeves. If it gets to a point where I start to roll my eyes and get irritated it's not for me. I just can't see past it.
ReplyDeleteGreat review, Mary! Very detailed!
Loved this book!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your honest review!
ReplyDeleteMissed this one. Rats.
ReplyDeleteSee this is the sort of thing that really annoys me: that cover. For starters, men didn't wear the short kilt until the fifteenth century and I seriously doubt if any warriors depilated their chest hair or oiled up! Honestly if you can't be bothered to do the research, then why bother at all?
ReplyDeletelooks interesting
