Welcome to the Sunday Roundup #71!!
On the homefront:
We didn't get the small house for my Aunt. It had roof issues and they didn't want to fix them so we had to cancel the contract. With that, on top of the already overpriced home, it was just too much for us to do. So, we are going to try to look for something else and if all else fails she will just have to come live with us. Not that it's ideal but that's what it will have to be. My daughter is sad and excited about graduation! It is happening on the 15th of June! I can't believe it myself. What happened to my little baby? Why does time go so fast on the things that matter most?
Things I know:
Time will move without you, like it or not.

I'm in week 4/15! This week, I have a bunch of tests. I have been studying and doing my thing. It is not like last semester and Chemistry (that was torture). I had A's in all my classes except for Chemistry, which ended up being a B+, that ruined my average. I am still on the Dean's List but at this point, I just want to be done with school. It is like everything good about going back to school, DIED with that class. Of course, I plan on doing my best as long as it is NOT emotionally draining like Chemistry. I can't take another bit of that.
Blog:
I have been hopping around this week but did not get to everyone. I am still missing a few, so be on the lookout. Oh, my blog you ask? Well, I have just been doing the normal freebie posts and a few tour posts. I have two book reviews coming in June. None for May. I am still trying to get a few of my own written but that is on the back burner.
Around the Blogosphere:
Some posts I read this week that I thought were cool:
Sam over @WLABB had this great post on Too Old For Love! - WTH(eck)
Sophie over @BOTR had this great post on 5 Star Reviews!

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've had finding a house for your Aunt, hopefully something will work out for you all. Also congratulations on your daughter's graduation coming up soon! I hope you all have a great time, it's a day of celebration and endings so it's always a little bittersweet https://racheleanne.wordpress.com/2019/05/19/sunday-post-may-2019/
ReplyDeleteFirst I am crossing my fingers that you'll find that house not overpriced and just right for your aunt to live in!
ReplyDeleteSecond I know where does the time fly with our babies??? Congrats to your daughter.
Third don't let chemistry ruiun school for you. This is only one class (albeit it seems an evil one) but look at the big picture! You can be proud of you Mary! You are raising a family, blogging (thanks for visiting) taking care of relatives AND going to school (and I don't even speak of feeding the birds) so YOU ARE AMAZING! B+ or not! Believe it. xoxo
I am currently listening to The Bride Test and loving it. I have the Rachel Caine book as well.
ReplyDeleteSorry it didn't work out with the house.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your daughter graduation! It is a very exciting and emotional time!
You are doing so good with school! a B+ is still fantastic!
Have a great week, Mary! Happy Reading! xx
A B+ is an excellent grade. I know you wanted straight As (who doesn't), but you still did amazing. Congratulations. Sorry about the house. I hope you find something new quickly. Thanks for sharing my post, and now all I do is think about how old the heroine is in every romance I read.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the house. :( But I always tell myself it wasn't meant to be. We didn't get the first house we put an offer on because they didn't want to upgrade the roof. And now I'm so glad it didn't work out because we're in a much better place. A B+ is still great! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYikes Got to hate when the roof needs work.. I hope you get it sorted out.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find a good solution for your aunt soon.
ReplyDeleteAre you an Aerosmith fan? My oldest daughter is named for one of their lesser known songs, Simoriah

Reading has been slow this week but now that I've finished rewatching Game of Thrones season 2, I hope to clear my head enough to get on with some reading this week!
