Welcome to the #SundayRoundup #55!!
On the homefront:
Things have been ok this week. My brother and I, keep seeming to fight with each other. I thought those days were over as we got older but it seems we keep getting into arguments lately. I am unsure why. This week has been all about school. Although last weekend I kinda took Sunday off and visited blogs as most of you know. Which will be the same this Sunday. I hope you had a good week.
Things I know:
Only you can change - YOU. No one else. Don't look for someone to do it, only you can.
School Front:
Waiting on my results for my first Chem Test...(bites nails). I feel that first grade usually sets the tone for how I will do in the class! We shall see.
Blog:
I hope to work on some posts this weekend. We shall see...
Around the Blogosphere:
Some posts I read this week that I thought were cool:
Greg over @ Book Haven has a review up of No Exit by Taylor Adams and I can't wait to read the book now!
Angela over at Musings of a Literary Wanderer wrote about 5 Books To Read Before You Visit Newport - RI!

My enforced week offline has left me in sloth mode this weekend! I'm struggling to find the energy to do anything!
ReplyDeleteI love Lisa Jewell's books...and The Third Wife is one I read a while ago. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI like your "things I know" blurb. So true!
Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Life has its priorities, but I'm glad to see you find time to make the rounds. Have a super week.

I try to make Sunday my planning/visiting day. I try not to do much blogging on Sundays.
ReplyDeleteI hope this week is awesome for you Mary! Happy Reading!
So you still fight with your brother??? Damn I don't have much hope for my kids Mary! Now about changing you you are so right! And it is basically the only person you can change too so spare your saliva on others. I wonder what you'll think of the Wicked King Mary! And from your IG pics here above I think I missed some of yours and will go check them now. Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an okay week. I had a quiet week, much better than the previous. Met with friends etc, great updates you have.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to catch up on writing some posts this weekend, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm an only child but both of my parents are from large families and my husband has a brother. It always amazes me how the sibling conflict can rear its head at times. I hope things smooth out a bit. I need that Lisa Jewell book! I read a book of hers last year and really liked it. I've been meaning to read more. Good luck with school and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe weekends are my catch up time, since there never seems to be enough time during the week. I have my fingers crossed for you and the chem test, though I am sure you did well.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough in families sometimes. My family has had some issues too so I can totally relate. And some things DON'T change- very true.
ReplyDeleteI've read a few Lisa Jewell books and have really liked them. I have her new one coming up to get too.
Thanks for the shout out! :) I hope you like No Exit- I was on the edge of my seat.
I'm trying to use Sunday as a get blog stuff done day... It's easier to visit during the week when the posts for the week are scheduled, you know?
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good week Mary!
I also try to do everything on Sundays since I'm usually busy during the week. I hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays and Cover Spotlight!
I work full time so I use my weekends to write posts and visit. Though I do visit blogs and comment during the week too. Only so much time in a day, right") We are reading some of the same books. I just got Blackwell in the mail and hope to start it soon! I hope your test grade went well!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
My brother and sister always seem to be at odds over something, sometimes I feel stuck in the middle! I hope you and your brother can make up soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out!
I hope you get a good grade! I still have disagreements with my sister, even though we’re adults. Our fights are just less physical now. We punched each other as kids. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I love the look of your (new) books. Such pretty covers.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a good grade ;)
Have a great week and happy reading!
Sibling fights... having watched 2 generations and been part of a third, I think arguments come in rashes. One or other (or both) is feeling a bit pressured - and the person that can most affect is your sibling, even if they don't acknowledge it. Subconsciously that makes them feel worse and while they don't work out that it isn't necessarily your fault, they will be feeling fed up with you. Hence picking at each other... before it passes again.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the test... and the brother. Happy reading, Mary:)
I hope your chem results are okay! And me and my sister still seem to have small arguments over the littlest things, don't think we'll outgrow these. Can't wait to see how you get on with The Wicked King, hope you have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteand thanks for the heads up on my twitter links on my blog, they seem to be working okay now!
DeleteEveryone who reads Holly Black has been bubbling about The Wicked King. 👍✨
ReplyDeleteSending great vibes your way for a stellar school year. 🙌🙌🙌
Have a wonderful week. 🌞
I hope your test went well. My daughter had her first test today for her class. You have some great looking new books, enjoy them! Anne - Books of My Heart
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your brother figure it out. Or it just passes.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the test! I hope it was a high score. :) I absolutely loathed Chem in college. I barely passed it. Whew!
I hope you get a good grade on your Chem test!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that you are fighting with your brother. I don't fight with my sisters but I don't always feel like we are as close as we once were. I hope you get the grade you are looking for on your test. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your test!! Oh The Wicked King!!! I can't wait to get to that one. Have great week!
