#SundayRoundup of #Books #Week #16

Hello!!!
&
Welcome to the #SundayRoundup #16

Well, first week of school is over and man - it's hard, but, I am so determined to get my BSN, that I just know all the hard work will pay off. I think I may be more determined now that my sister has passed. I want her to look down on me and smile. She would have been so proud of me. I miss her so much and the although the crying has lessened there is still a vice on my heart.

We got some (not much) of her things back (boyfriend stole all of her money/jewelry etc.,  we did get some clothes and books) and well I wanted to go through it, and the second I touched something...Well...The crying started and lasted for a long time.

How can I throw away that last and very minimal possessions she had?
I don't have the heart to do it. I just can't even believe she is gone, there is no way I can physically throw anything away.

Maybe, someday I will, but that day is years in the future. It's all I have left of her and god damn it...I miss her to pieces and way to emotional to even think of it. I might keep it forever, I am not sure, but there is NO WAY I can throw anything away now.

Well as you know - this is my round up of books and maybe some personal stuff that I shouldn't talk about --- BUT --- I do. Hope you had a good week of reading!

  1. Your sister will so proud of you. Don’t be in any hurry to give away anything that was your sisters, until you are ready. If you’re never ready, that’s perfectly okay too. {hugs} Enjoy the new books. :)

  3. I don't know the full details but Im so sorry that happened... I've found that a death in the family brings out the worst in people. My mum left all her money to me when she died but I'm certain my Grandfather stole some of it, despite not needing the money himself.

  4. Ah Mary :( Some wounds never heal completely. You do what you feel is best for you - we all grieve differently. And wow...that boyfriend? So sorry you had to deal with that too.

I hope you enjoy Furyborn and all your new books. Have a lovely week.

  6. What callous behavior on the boyfriend's part, I'm so sorry he added more difficulty to an already painful time. I hope no one makes you feel rushed regarding your sister's things; as long as they're reminding you of the connection you shared, I think it's lovely that you're keeping them safe.

  7. I'm so sorry about the mess with your sister's boyfriend but I understand not wanting to get rid of any of her things. We have boxes of things that belonged to my husband's parents and after 10 years are just able to start going through it. I think before now it would have just been too hard. Enjoy your books and I hope this week is better.

  8. It was four years on April 19th that I lost my sister. I still have some of her things and still catch myself thinking, when I get home I have to tell her something. We were rommies and had a lot of fun together. Her boyfriend will get his due and I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister and what you are going through.

  9. Don't feel pressured to get rid of anything. And what a LOSER boyfriend. He needs karma to come along and take a big bite out of him! I like the look of Owl Eyes and will be waiting for your review. I might grab it someday. Good luck with school!

  12. Good luck with school, you sound determined and good for you! Sometimes you have to keep things as long as necessary, nothing wrong with that.

Fairy Queens looks good, and so does The Light of Fireflies.

  13. My mum died in 2014 and I still can't go through the things like photographs and jewellery without getting upset. It's a horrible thing to have to do. That scumbag boyfriend will get what is coming to him someday I hope. Thoughts are with you Mary. *hugs*

  14. My heart just breaks to hear about your sister, Mary. I do not see the rush in getting rid of anything. I have so many objects in my possession that remind me of people that I have lost. I find comfort in them, and I am sure that you do as well. You are working so hard, and I am sure that your sister would be so happy for you. <3

I hope that you enjoy reading Furyborn. It is one that I am looking forward to as well.
